A Day with Kinder and Year 1

This term has been very busy for the students in K-1W. Each term in English we have been focusing on a particular story. This term we have been reading 'Tiddalick, The Frog who caused a Flood'. It is great to see the students interacting with each other at story time with lots of discussion about the events and characters in the book.

We have also focused on our Multicultural unit of work. The students have been exploring the country of China and learning about the Chinese culture and their special customs. We have been practicing using our chop stick skills, which has been very enjoyable to all. We have also been busy decorating the classroom in preparation for our Multicultural celebrations.

We focused on a unit of work on Aboriginality for the first five weeks of the term. The students have been exploring and learning about the Aboriginal culture. We have been displaying all of our beautiful Aboriginal art works that we have painted outside our classroom.
